Katie Hart loves art. It was her love of art that sent her into the graphic design field; it has allowed her to advance her career at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from a part-time web and graphic designer to a full-time designer for an entire division. Katie has a total of nine-years of experience in dealing with typography; print design, including flyers, brochures, postcards, and various other print media; responsive web design; digital art; illustration; video editing and even animation. Apart from this, since the age of 13, Katie has had an interest in the back end of web design, including HTML and CSS, both of which she is intimately familiar.
Katie's proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite is high; she knows Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Animate, Muse, Lightroom, and Premier Pro, as well as several mobile Adobe programs, including mobile versions of the afore-mentioned programs. Additionally, she is excited to learn new skills constantly; she recently attended Adobe Max 2016 and was very excited to learn all there was to know about new Adobe programs and trends in design style. Furthermore, Katie understands the intricacies and difficulties of AP style, as well as the issues involved with working with difficult clients (though most of her clients, she says, have been great.) In her free time, she enjoys doing digital art, playing Steam games, hanging with her boyfriend, snuggling her cat, reading, and getting relaxing massages.
